Hello there

I am Jared Harley, and I live in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA. I am a Linux and Kafka administrator, working with Real-Time Data Streaming at Progressive Insurance. I also help run my son's youth soccer club, BVBIA Colorado Springs.

Outside of work, you'd probably find me:

  • Tinkering with electronics and technology: I am a big fan of Home Assistant and all forms of smart tech.
  • Camping, off-roading, or exploring: I love to travel, especially with my family, and we spend as much time as we can exploring.
  • Taking pictures: I love photography and am always taking pictures - though I'm not as good about actually sharing those pictures afterwards! I have a separate site dedicated just to photography: https://jaredharley.pictures.
